Leonardo da Vinci, the man this prize is named after, came up with a very apt definition of automation more than 500 years ago: "Simplifying processes and configuring machines to be more efficient". This principle also applies to EVVA's 3KS machine, "Victoria".
EVVA receives Leonardo Award for best automation solution
All the planning for Victoria was carried out by EVVA's machine construction engineers. The system was developed in line with the most recent findings in the areas of control technology and robotics. EVVA's in-house machine and tool construction department took care of the entire production, assembly, control engineering and commissioning processes. The machine has been in use since July 2003, and in 2004 won the coveted Leonardo Award for the best solution in the automation sector.
